Grandparents from both sides can pass over different genetics, and in a fantasy world with so many more genetic variables, I’d imagine there’s a lot more combinations lol. Like grandparents on mom side could’ve had the blonde hair and purple eyes, grandparents on dad side could’ve had the black hair and eyes, and one of their parents could have had the red hair and blue eyes. Many, many different combinations are possible in this scenario, the only reason this doesn’t happen irl is bcos there aren’t this many colors LOL. Some genetics are dominant and recessive, so it just depends. To be fair, they could have different parents and be half-siblings too.
