Yeah I don't understand the story at all, the circumstances were quite badly explained, a and it doesn't help that everyone looks the exact same
Our main guy sometimes seems to know so much about his body that I forget he's possessing possessing it, and I don't even know who any of those two are at all, was I supposed to have read the book before reading this?

Unfortunately the beginning in this story is quite confusing, (honestly even the middle is also a bit confusing) but if you go back and reread it after some more chapters it makes so much more sense(I would say reading it again is more fun). As there is a lot of unsaid notions and foreshadowing for the later sections of the story that makes it really really good. It's just that all the nods to later reveals make the beginning a lot harder to understand.

I agree that this webtoon adaptation is far from masterfully done, and the novel itself is a bit hard to follow in the beginning, but hey, if we were all once capable of learning all that Japanese lingo featured in manga scanlations, anime, etc., we can learn chinese lingo too provided we read more chinese scanlated works.

When I started reading it made no sense at all but this was highly rated. I had someone else explain it to me. Even then I couldn't get it. Then finally read the novel and everything became clear.
I think you should read it too coz its one of the best novels I have read. Also its gonna be even more confusing in later chapters if you don't read the novel.

There will be multiple plotlines going as the story progresses so I highly recommend that you read the written novel. In the background, there's the mystery of who the main character is and how he died and was revived. At the forefront are the mysteries that the main couple solve as they journey across the country. Along the way, clan conflicts, hidden secrets, and loads of drama are brought to light. This manhua is not doing the best job at telling the story in a way that helps new readers follow along; so I think that it's going to be incredibly hard for you to understand the whole story if you don't read the novel.

I gree with everything everyone has been saying. Before I read the novel, the story really did not make much sense at all. But I promise you, not only does reading the novel make things way more clearer, but it also provides more details making the overall story way better :) here's where you can read the novel if you're curious, https://exiledrebelsscanlations.com/gdc-chapter-1/

Aaa siwon is stupid tho I mean the Chinese guy might have done a lot of bad things but the person who keeps on destroying the relationship with Kang Jinha or whatever his name was is nobody but Siwon himself. He expects so much from the people around him all the time and hurts them when they don't deliver.
This is just going to hurt everybody argh
