Because most of them are underage... (Or under the legal drinking age) And therefore they get drunk pretty fast....
The more you drink, the more 'tolerant' you get, but only very few people have high alcohol tolerance from the beginning....
(I am actually more amazed about the fast recoveries... And the fact that there are very few hangovers.... XD)

Well majority of the uke population have a low tendancy to alchol but there are some that dont so you really cant say every uke.

I just recently started drinking (turned 18, drinking age in Sweden) and I get slightly today after a strong beer and some gin, there are literally stories where they pass out from a small drink or even candy with liquor

When it comes to a timid person like him, the only thing that will make him understand that the other guy (I never remember yaoi characters' names) likes him is for him to be upfront and tell him he loves him in a way that can't be misunderstood.
