i know this arc is just getting started but im really curious if 003 will somehow be involved be involved bc we havent seen her in a while
im also curious though after rereading --- who actually killed the "traitor" numbers? when ijin was defecting, 003 was fully planning on at least incapacitating ijin until he told her that he didn't kill any of the numbers,, so she let him go... still hate her tho!
She let him go, went back and killed the injured number, as far as I understand

My guess based on the story so far:
003 indeed let Ijin go after Ijin said he didnât killed anyone. But itâs not because loyalty or such, she simply got to realize that this is the chance for her to also run from the camp..
Not to mention, 003 was cold-blooded for real. Like farrr colder than 002 (thatâs why they dated I guess?). So killing the injured member was a no brainer for her, killing them was easy. After seeing the body scattered, the camp will automatically think 003 was also dead somewhere in the jungle. She is sure her body wonât be confirmed or retrieved because out of everyone there, only 001 who care enough to bury the comradeâs body properly.

002 is actually a tsundere but i love him so much. he cares so much for ijin without realizing. even despite everything, he still respects ijin the most out of everyone,, even despite their differences. and even during their fight, ijin still had complicit respect for them. they are actually brothers. always there to help him and have his back even though he's a traitor and the way 002 sometimes visits ijin, checking on him even though he calls him stupid each and every time. i hope that one day they can acknowledge how much they care for each other even if its something small.
all of the numbers are actually family im so devastated. they dont know how to show care for each other because they werent raised that way. none of the numbers know how to communicate so they do something even more important - show it with their actions. saving each other time and time again. same with ijin. hes only just realizing how important they are - they are family. he wants to do something for them, he trusts them enough to introduce them to his family. he just wants to spend time with them and eat fried chicken. he wants to show them the most important thing hes been taught: peace. because he wants the numbers to be as happy as him. he loves them so much.
no matter how much the numbers and especially 002 think that family and personal connection are "weaknesses",, they dont realize how much weakness they themselves already have. they already depend and trust each other so much. they're willing to sacrifice their own lives and safety to keep each other alive--even ijin who "betrayed" them at some point. theyre already willing to do something to protect their weaknesses--each other. definitely why they are so okay with ijin living safely with his family. they might not realize it, but they understand what its like to have a weakness. their care for each other is their weakness.
i think 003 plotline as a big threat is so captivating - the real betrayal of family or found family. for the numbers who have gone through thick and thin together, life and death battles,, even if one of their members are completely insane (lets be real, all of them are) they had rules. implicit trust. even ijin never broke them - but 003 did. how will the numbers react with their big battle with 003? how will 002 react? i think beyond everything, the numbers will cling to each other as family. and i love that for them. how could i not cry from that?
