the usual Stockholm syndrome BS about a crazy psychopath kidnaps a painter. that what happens when you give a psychopath murder too much power, fame and money. I feel bad about all the people that need to deal with him, even his sex partners.
I hope someone will murder him in this plot, not that I stay to see it ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ I don't really care.

Slim chance that Seungho becomes a better person. I don't particularly favor the types of stories where the shitty male lead *changes* from freaking abusive murder to great all round guy because it's highly unrealistic and makes me cringe, but I'm still hoping the story goes in that direction... sigh *cue inner conflictions

either way, if it goes to make the crazy murder "good and nice" out of nowhere or he stays crazy and abuses the uke. either way, it will end badly ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭ that's why I don't have any hope for this story. and I don't like that kind of story.
but I"m sure there is people that like this kind of story so each and their own taste.

Yeah....because seungho is soooo psychopathic am i right. Literally the only time he did “crazy” things was when someone betrayed, angered or mislead him. He’s DEFINITELY a messed up person but “psychopath” isnt it. Do you even know what a psychopath is? Also, Nakyum doesnt have stolkholms, he doesnt even like seungho. Stolkholms isnt “omo do i like him!?” its “nooo dont take me away from himmmm”. Not to mention id bet my toe the reason he gets hard is because of that “tonic”

sure cause that guy that didn't lie to him totally "betrayed" him right? so it's OKAY to murder them out of nowhere. no totally fine. despite he knows he didn't lie so that kind of make it BULLSHIT. he is a psychopath to me and that's it.
he kind of does, he attracts to him even before he gets any bs tonic and blushes every time they together FROM THE START. and he does not hate him for what he did or blame him. I already know where it's going, don't try with me. okay

Then bye and never comment negative again, there are people who have a different perspective about this kind of story, I do respect your opinion, because it’s yours, but it doesn’t mean you should say this kind of things. Also, a recommendation, if you don’t like a story or whatever, shut up, no body is asking.

The thing is tho that I don’t think the story wants you to like him like most stories want you to love the characters but with him it kind of lets you have your own opinion of him. Like at first of course everybody hated him and Na-kayum still hates him too, he’s just caught in the conflict that he also deeply lusts for him and now Yoon is being nicer to him so he’s not sure how to feel about it. I think the author gave us the perspective of mostly showing Yoon’s actions towards Na-kyum so we can see how he has this inner conflict of not knowing his feelings bc I’m sure he’s still terrified of him. I don’t think anyone has any sympathy for Yoon but lately it’s been hinting at revealing a bit of his backstory.

I don't really care if you allow me to comment or not XD I will comment whatever I want when I want. I don't ask you. I have any right to say WHATEVER I want to a story. Just cause you get offended from it, despite it's not aiming for you but for a not real story, is not my problem, it's yours. and honestly, I don't care.

If these two develop feelings, will this be really a Stokholm syndrom story? By Stokholm syndrom, it generally means the victim - who is an ostage, a prisoner- kept in captivity falls in love with his tormentor, because he developped a kind of mental illness.
While we agree that at first Yoon forced NK to have sex with him and that NK clearly hated it, now their relationship is an ARRANGEMENT between the both. NK agreed to sleep with SH and in exchange, SH promised to help the teacher to enter in the government and not hurt him.
But as we know, the teacher reveals himself to NK he's looking down on the boy, saying he's a prostitute whose only usefulness is to serve him. This is so hurtful and humiliating. I would be so broken if I were NK, if the one I looked so much for and sacrified my chastity for - to save him, for him to realize his dreams- just insult me plainly in the face. The Sir just shot himself a bullet in the foot.
Now, what will happen? Like someone asked, will NK give the infos to the Sir, will he become closer to Seungho? Will he run away?
I think this episode gives the opportunity to NK to grow emotionally and become stronger (or weaker). In all cases, from now on, Nakyum can decide of his futur.
Since Seungho doesn't know, NK can decide to do whatever he wants. He's not held in captivity, he succombs to the lust but isn't raped like before.
If he decides he'd run away since his teacher doesn't care about him, he's totally free and I think not even SH can stop him. He's not enchained.
If he chooses the teacher, then it'll be too bad for him given how In Hun doesn't value him at all. But if he chooses SH, he's free to stay and if he falls in love then it'll be his choice. Yoon, on his side, tries hard to seduce the boy since he understood that brutalizing the boy isn't a good way to approach him.
Yoon uses the teacher to get NK, but once NK decides he has enough of the mean teacher, Yoon won't have any grip on him anymore.
While NK shows more than one time he's very naive, I doubt he's that dumb. To me, he's just a normal average boy that was in love with a fake man, but he's enough independant to decide of what he wants.
Hope it can give you another vision from the story.

Lol, I said all this and I forgot to say the most important thing:
A story progresses and evolutes, and with it, the characters and the feelings they hold for each others.
So yeah, sometimes, it can be a Stokholm syndrom story (mind break), and sometimes it happens that the characters' personality changes to adapt, to tame the other. This happens when they both feel attraction. It's normal that we change also to please the one we like/feel attracted to.

yeas it is still Stokholm syndrom cause it start from kidnapping, Threats, extortion, and force to stay until he gets used to it and falls in love with his abuser cause he have no choice. that the definition of Stokholm syndrom.
there was no way in any of chapters I read he was independent, he was the victim and will stay a civtim even if he turn it into love.

I like this commentary.
I like the fact that you first incorporated the definition of Stockholm, because I think a lot of people don't know about it.
Also like the ideas you shared. Personally I'm glad you said that characters and their feelings change, especially when it comes to love or starting to love another person. Because it's true! NK has been in love with the teacher for the longest time, but never got appreciated before. Then Comes along SH (and even though he committed terrible shit to NK in the beginning) you can tell he's essentially set up to change due to his conflicting feelings for NK. And NK won't necessarily be in Stockholm, bc technically he isnt chained up and tormented in a crueler way, and I love that, because he's not Stockholm he's also set up to change to be either weaker or stronger like you said. (Also, I find this somewhat important, NK never blantly says he hates/blames SH, I think. I'm not 100% sure, but I don't recall him ever necessarily hate him). And that says something about him.
Incorporating the art, it visually just shows the characters reaction and just continues to add to their personality and their growing preference of each other and so on.
Overall, it's a preference of mine to just read heavier stories, having to do with violence and psychological aspects because that's just my preference in story development, and this story is set up to be conflicting for the characters and meant to be a growing/changing of character for them (even just a little)
I just appreciate the comentary you shared and wanted to comment about it because people seem to either really hate SH or the whole story. ( ̄∇ ̄")

I can agree to your defenition to an extent tho.
Yes your defenition is valid, and I can agree with the story and character NK resembling/being Stockholm, mainly because personally to me, Stockholm comes if different forms, and for this story it seems to be a mostly mental abuse of making NK scared and conflicted with both his desires (the paintings) and feelings for both the teacher and SH.
But it all really comes down to one's own view of the story. While you may see it as full on Stockholm syndrome for NK, others might not. I guess it just falls to interpretation for everyone.
Personally, I see it less as Stockholm mainly because instead of falling In love blindly with his abuser, NK is truly thinking and realizing feelings. (I think a great example would be Bum from Killing Stalking. Now his situation is Stockholm for sures. Very violent and disturbing story so don't read it if it's not you!) But your view is still pretty valid if u interpret the story that way ヾ(❀╹◡╹)ノ~

Thank you for appreciating my comment.
Yes, this is how stories are and why plots are written: to evolute, to be in constant movement... The Introduction isn't supposed to ressemble to the conclusion, and the developpement explains why.
Every small even the smallest details can change a whole situation or coming events, and it's understandable that for such story, many readers don't want to see much more past the violence, abuse; they will rapidly categorize these yaois as rape to love and Stokholm syndrom and that's it.
I think for my part that this story is portraying an interesting vision of social interactions and human relationships, and the power unbalance makes their exchanges even more complicated because there are a lot of discriminations and taboo in the society at that time (furthermore nobles/lowborns...). Even today people are still discriminated and bullied over petty things even though we're supposed to live in a more equal society.
In one of the chapters (where NK is taking his bath and where SH told him he had sex with SH and not In Hun), NK told him he hates SH to death. So yeah, NK actually told him one he really hates the Lord. That's why after that SH was desperate, disappointed and angry and went to take the sword to kill In Hun... :(
Yes, complexe stories are nice, if we have the patience to read and understand every layers they contain. I still haven't read Saezuru though.
Yeah, some readers hate SH to the core, but he also has a lot of supporters who see his good points.
And between him and In Hun, I will still prefer SH, because even if I hate him or disagree with him and we kill each other, I can make him agree with me on something. He will acknowledge my existence whether he likes me or not. Even if he killed me, he would still value in a way my life and acknowledge that killing someone is bad.
He's not the kind to stab you behind your back.
He's a monster with a heart and his own rules. He's a noble, yet a lowborn like Nakyum has value in his eyes if he happens to like him. If he find you talentuous enough of likes you, he will give everything you need to you, provide roof and food plenty. He's rich and a generous man.
While, In Hun... Even if you kill him 100 times and he's turning in dirt, he will still look down on you and the rest of humanity. He likes no one but himself and he's envious of those in better position whom he also consider with contempt if they don't correspond to his vision of virtue (and even...). He a snake, with a snake tongue that. Damn I hate him...

I don't it's a matter that much how people will view the story, there is one definition. a very clear one and I don't think it should change no matter how you view those characters. again I"m not saying you not allowed to enjoy the story. but facts are facts and opinion is an opinion. if you saying you can ignore a very clear definition to something that does show up in the story, then I don't know what to say.
it does not matter if he thinking or realizing feelings, the fact is they stillborn from abuse and kidnapping. I won't and will never ignore this fact.

“Stockholm syndrome is a condition in which hostages develop a psychological alliance with their captors during captivity. Emotional bonds may be formed, between captor and captives, during intimate time together, but these are generally considered irrational in light of the danger or risk endured by the victims. The FBI's Hostage Barricade Database System and Law Enforcement Bulletin indicate that roughly 8% of victims show evidence of Stockholm syndrome”
If nakyum rly had stolkholms why did he run away and ONLY return because of inhun.

1. he was stopped by the kidnapper. it was in the very first chapters and was blackmail. he didn't had a chance to run anyway since the guy had too much power and he would have find him anyway.
and he didn't run since his rape drank night and another rape. there are other things that make him very scared of him etc...but I'm too lazy to write it all.
2. "...There are four key components that characterize Stockholm syndrome:
A hostage's development of positive feelings towards the captor
No previous relationship between hostage and captor
A refusal by hostages to cooperate with police forces and other government authorities (unless the captors themselves happen to be members of police forces or government authorities).
A hostage's belief in the humanity of the captor because they cease to perceive the captor as a threat when the victim holds the same values as the aggressor
Stockholm syndrome is a "contested illness" due to doubt about the legitimacy of the condition. It has also come to describe the reactions of some abuse victims beyond the context of kidnappings or hostage-taking. Actions and attitudes similar to those suffering from Stockholm syndrome have also been found in victims of sexual abuse, human trafficking, terror, and political and religious oppression

Wolfgang you really pushing your luck, my boy.
I really love how he trying to think outside the box instead of just listatning to what everyone say he should act. I love how he wonder if there is many other solutions to a problem. that I"m sure there is many ways to solve things. he is so great!
but I also love his childlike self and how excited he get over things he love.
but I"m worried his luck will end soon.
and going alone at night is not the best way after he promise his wife/husband he be carfuel. but it's fun to see his shenanigan XD
But Shin will totally freak out about this. I hope Wolf is ready to be super scold by him.

This ending left me with a very bad taste in my mouth. To let rugal just show up and then leave out of nowhere was very unsatisfying and kind of felt insulting to the readers!
If they would end it after they finish reading the diary, that would have been a much better ending and maybe add Brett and Dio moments. but the other moments with Rugal son and Rugal was so frustrating and disgusting. I don't get why comic's and media love to save villains so much and not give them any punishment or even consequences for all the suffering/death they did to everyone. I hate this kind of bad trop.
I really like this story but this kind of ending kind of ruin it for me. A shame for this good story and characters.

didn't felt the sidestory, I wish it was on the other couples that got less screen time =_= well whatver

you don't give a shit cause he burly even had screen time and he was cool too! not less than his other friend. I want to see what happened to him.
and edric/chief we burly seen much of them too if at all.
I don't really care about the personal taste of the artist, I just think it a waste and that a shame. again it's not that I really care I just think it a waste.

i personally think it's realistic for the dude to not jump in the vampire train. there's at least one dude who's got common sense. not everyone's gonna be gay-- and most importantly, not everyone's gonna be happy with the idea of ~eternal life~. a quick check up on what he's doing is fine, but that's all i wanna hear from him. also. it's barely*.

auto correct is a bitch XD
I don't really mind if he gets "eternal life" or not. dude this is not about that or if he get a vampire or get a girlfriend or not.
it just feels so pointless to introduce has his cool friends and not do with his character nothing. Literally nothing while the other "good friend" gets like 10 chapters to grow cause he is into the asshole father vampire. yeas this is not fair and a big waste.
that what I think, not that I hate the other characters. but I think they got enough screen time. more then enough.

sidestory can be on other characters that didn't get much screen time in the story, so yeas! it is a waste to give 3 chapters sidestory to a couple that already got so many screen time in the main story. and the is nothing new about them to show!
you can count how many times they show up in the main story and yeas it is a lot if you count other couples or other characters.

this side couple is obviously just as important as the main one and shouldn't be treated as an extra side pairing like the hints we got with edric and chief. we spent a lot of chapters as you've said, watching these two develop. so it makes sense for the author to give us an update on how they're doing now that the story's basically done.

to "you" they important, to me the main couple was the most important! and no they belong to be on side characters cause they ARE side characters! it does not matter how much you crush on them, they still side characters just like the other side characters of edric and chief.
no it does not make sense if we already spend enough time of them while other side characters stay in the dark and don't get anything AT ALL! if you going to do this to one side character, then yeas at least do it to all the side characters you created.
and no it isn't impossible if you a good writer.
there is no point in the update on how they're doing cause they doing the same shit they were doing in the end of the story!
you can say it again and again, but I won't change my mind. this is what I think and the side story was pointless and a waste of time.

it’s called facts holy shit do you want me to list the huge amount of chapters they appeared in the main story????? they ARE important, hell, why do you think Minhoon is even running this show??? It’s because of this dumbass couple who got together. If it weren’t for them, the main couple would’ve lost.

he running the show cause he is strong enough to do it and smart enough. actually even without them getting together, they would have got their way just killing him. either way they would have got to the end game.
they said in the main story so many times that the father and son are strong enough to run the family. so no it's not facts, this is just you want to believe things that didn't happen.

i suggest reading the entire story again because minhoon, hyungwoo, and even edric agreed that things wouldn't have gone smoothly if it weren't for this pairing. that's why they had A LOT of screen time. you must've been sleeping/skipping every scene with daddy because there were presented more than half of the entire manhwa. it started ALL THE WAY since chapter 24. you can keep lying to yourself but that's how it is.
here, i'll list all the chapters for you. 24, 30, 31, 32, 38, 39, 43, 44, 45, 46, 47. 48, 49, 50, 54, 55, 56, (57-58 talks about them but not in the same scene), 60, 67, 68, 69, 70, 71, 72, 73, 74, 75, 76, 77, 79 (near the end), 83, 84, 85, 86, 87, 88, 89, 90, 91, 92 (flashback but was talked by gunchan+ ellian), 93, 94, 96, 98, 99, 100,104, 110, side story 1, 2, 3.

maybe you should read the story again. yeas they said it won't be "EASY" da but they plan to kill him. that was the plan and they all know hyungwoo is strong not less than his father. yeas he maybe gets hurt but that was the plan, I don't get why they didn't let him fight him.
you mast be soo into gunchan+ ellian ship that you ignore the original plan they talk about SO MUCH - they plan to throw Ellian out and kill him. and honestly, that was the best plan.
I won't answer anymore cause I make myself clear on what I think of this damn side-story that won't give anything that we didn't see before.
the main couple and story was good but there was a faw big problems with this story that make me feel it wasn't that good in the end.
1. the ending felt very incomplete. we seen little to nothing of the life of our main couple after they got together and it was such a shame. we mostly seen them felling in love, having a bad time and break up.
what lead me to the next point:
2. too much screen time to the crazy ex and him becoming a "normal" person and forget his obsession out of no where. all of sudden he have a normal brain to reach the fact that he is a bad thing in the MC life. wow he could not reach it before he kick his ass with punches and rape him? we should forget about all the abuse, the control freak, the unhealthy behavior, his obsession, him having no problem to hurt him physically and mentally. only for the ex to one day say "oh maybe I did him bad. I don't know..." sorry that not how it works! it really isn't!! and it was so frustrating to read this kind of crap and bad massage.
3. I wanted the MC to get free by his own ability and action. not cause his ex let him go free. it make him seemed well...like someone that will never fight for his future. and I just didn't like it.
other then that I like the art very much, the topic of tatto and the main couple. a shame we didn't get that much time with the main couple cause the ex took the reast of the chapters. but I like the Seme, he was great and cool ^_^
