This is what I think
1. Yes they liked each other but Aoi kept saying she didn't because she didn't want akane to come to hate her.
2. Aoi couldn't come back because she was already dead so when she wasn't able to go into the human world.
3. Aoi's remaining lifespan was given to yashiro because they switched places as the sacrifice (I think)
4. Because Nene is no longer close to death and no longer close to the far shore, she is unable to see Hanako-kun (or other spirits). It's not by choice that Hanako leaves, it's just how it played out.
I think you’re pretty spot on, the first half was pretty much what I was thinking. But that part where nene has more years to live which means she cants see hanako anymore wow didn’t even think of that. Now I’m sad lol.
