Maybe someone else saw this and commented on it, but I haven't looked.
Anyway, maybe the reason Areum's unable to be hypnotized and that her blood tastes horrible is because she isn't filled with Sol's light (or life, I guess). She isn't from that world, so she isn't made with the same components (despite the same form) as the people born of that world.

That didn't have any kind of conclusion or anything that a normal one-shot would have... This can't be it, right?

After all of the one-shots I have read, I don't agree with the "often" part of your statement. I do agree that there are many promotion manga and webtoons, but there are just as many one chapter stories that actually have conclusions, even if they are subtle. But I do agree that this was probably made for a novel that didn't get enough interest for a proper manga series.

The male lead doesn't have crazy OP abilities (as far as the first chapter) and he seems to have had something traumatic happen to him in the past. He's not extremely expressive (which is one of my favorites) and he thinks fairly rationally and logically with no bias. I also like the girl. It's rare to see dark(er) skin tones for humans (not just demi-humans or beastfolk) in these kinds of fantasy manga, let alone for them to be powerful geniuses. So it's nice to see that, really.
Of course there is the loli guide/teacher sitting improperly and showing off what's under her skirt, but it's nice to see that no male characters have ridiculously lustful reactions to that (which can get extremely annoying in other manga). There is the big boob trope with the female lead, but that was expected. If not big boobs, there's always something else.

Well, I highly doubt that witch is an actual child. Correct me if I'm wrong, but I'm sure she was designed to play to the loli lovers out there. If you really want to get into the "pedo fan service" talk, there are plenty of manga out there that aren't advertised as such, but are clearly for people who like seeing short girls with large, childlike eyes and flat chests.

People should know that it's extremely dangerous for someone to suck out venom from a snake bite. The reason why is that the venom can easily be absorbed into the blood stream from it resting underneath a person's tongue, which means you can have two people afflicted with the symptoms of the venom instead of one person. That's why sublingual B12 vitamins are so helpful because you put one under your tongue and your body is able to absorb it and use it well. In this case, Dr. Koto might be seeing symptoms from doing that "emergency treatment" (although I doubt it based off what the author is implying).
Anyway, I just thought that should be known. Any experienced survivalist would tell you not to suck the venom out even in emergency situations, but I suppose there is a chance you can remove the venom, if you have water around you can wash your mouth out repeatedly, although it's difficult to say that would work. There are other factors involved that can actually make it much worse and make the venom spread faster.

This is the best manga of this variety I have ever come across. I have always, ALWAYS wanted to see this art style with this general story line, which the Chinese/Koreans seem to be fond of. I love that it's translated perfectly with no awkward sentences and that the main female lead is so well-created. She's fairly sadistic, but loves to torture herself with poison. She sticks up for herself when she can and doesn't let people trample over her. I adore Mao Mao. <3

Why, in these types of manga, do the horses look like a child drew them?! Honestly, it is not that hard to get reference material for horses. The top half was fine for a cartoon-like horse, but those legs...my word...those ugly ass legs. *shudders*

There are such things as reference drawings, ya know. I use them all the time if I don't know how to draw certain animals or objects. It's not that hard to take a few extra minutes to study other ways of drawing horses, rather than slap elongated hippos' legs onto a thing the artist claims to be a horse. :/

Yes, I am into art. I tend to draw very realistically, but I don’t expect everyone to draw like I do as I enjoy many types of art and I can appreciate all sorts of styles. In fact, I’m amazed by people who can draw cartoonish and cutesy styles since my brain doesn’t work that way.
To be clear, I don’t comment on every single manhua, manhwa, or manga when I see drawings that aren’t to my taste because I do understand deadlines and I know how much effort is put into these stories.
HOWEVER, there are times when the background animals or animals that are featured in certain panels that are so bad that it’s shocking the publisher allowed them to be seen by the public. I understand the artist is trying to depict some scene or wants to express a story in a certain way (and thus doesn’t pay a lot of attention to certain things), but I feel they shouldn’t even bother adding that particular animal if they can’t spend five minutes (or less) copying the legs of a real horse from a picture off of Google to get the general shape down.

I think his stats are extremely high. I am most likely completely off on the calculations, since the hexadecimal code guidelines weren't exactly matching up to the codes on the manga, but I did my best.
Endurance: 12,846 (18/208,402)
Magic: 13,358 (18/3,419,666)
Skills: Sword (514), Magic (260), Receiver of Faith (275)
Strength: 1,449,490
Dexterity: 1,416,722
Spirit: 1,515,026
I had hoped someone would post something like this, because I had never realized there was such a thing as hexadecimal codes before, so I just hope that this is okay. Feel free to correct all of this mess because I want to know the truth!
That was a twist. <3
