So glad I have this a chance instead of writing it off from that one star review at the top. This was better than my expectations. The ML wasn't at all the manipulative, abusive type. He's actually just an awkward man that's emotionally stunted and never hurts the FL. His jealousy does get a little out of hand, but I think it's hilarious since he really doesn't do anything to completely block the FL from her friends. I look forward to their development.
I also feel like I'm the only one itching for the tournament to happen. I want to see our bby CRUSH everyone with her cute ragtag team.
I tried figuring things out from the raws, but all I got was that ML is sus because c. 3's ending had him saying, "she's already fallen for me". And in c. 4, we get to see the client with the doggo, and the client knows she's a "Mrs." now. I'm probably too dumb to think things through, but I just want to know what the frick-frack is going on with the ML and his ominous phone call.
Just going through the raw chapters and looking at the panels I think her client might be under orders from the ml himself.
In her flashback it looks like she was an orphan (?) who was picked up by a couple, then at some point the woman killed the man, and seemingly put the fl on the path to becoming an killer. Because I can't read moon I can't tell why things are happening, but because this flashback comes in response to his proposal, I think both she and her "mom" (or guardian/mentor?) might have some underlying doubts about men's trustworthiness.
The most important thing though is that the guy in the flashback looks a lot like the ml, which makes me think that they were related, and that this is the ml's plan to get revenge for his death (perhaps his father or an older brother?).
Get the fl to fall for him, and then either kill her or perhaps find a way to get to her "mom" or mentor and kill her to avenge his relative's death.
I'm sure no one quite knows the full story just yet though, it'll be interesting once we get the translations and additional chapters.
Oh, I can see that. I completely skimmed over the FL's background. I remember a translation saying "a family of assassins", so I thought perhaps the man in the past wasn't killed. Then again, the drawing also says otherwise. Kinda hard to interpret unless we have someone who can fluently read it.
I'm getting antsy with the plot. I blame myself for getting invested in the plot of a literal SMUT story.
S i g h.
Thank you for sharing, though. I honestly could not formulate a theory of my own.
Hey no prob, I'm kind of the same. Doesn't really matter what I'm reading, could be something super serious or a slapstick romcom, I get equally invested in every story.
And yeah, without the text you could fit a lot of theories into just the pictures, now that you mention a 'family of assassins', that just opens up another can of theories as to what's happened and might happen.
