So despite the novel being pretty short, there's a lot of internal dialogue that got cut out in the Manhwa adaption. Without the internal monologuing and thought process, their actions make less sense. While the MC is naive, his choices make more sense when you read his thought process.
Valid. I don't know the source, but I do know a lot of adaptations of anything does a shit job of show more than tell.
