It is so incredibly cruel, the author makes you belive he escaped and was getting better, he goes to therapy and comes to term with the fact that he was rped and groomed. Only for the last 8 frames to be the rpist coming back, uncoving that all the people that had helped the mc were paid by him and forced back jnto submission, it literally made me feel a sense of dread like no other.
this is so sad and i really hope he doesn’t end up with any of them. I know the novel ends a certain way but i kinda hope this goes a different way.
