The fact that the scene with the man and the children actually happens in real life saddens me

No he used the money to buy drugs. Same thing happens in real world. When you give money to someone like them, they uses it in gambling or drugs instead of buying neccesities.

Umm I thought he spent the money for drugs and overdid it. And as you can see his children didn't panic or anything which tells us that they are used to seeing their father like that. If he was dead, his children atleast the girl( she seems old enough to understand) would have screamed or cried or panicked. But they were too calm as if this is something they are used to.
And even the purple haired guy told that black hair guy to give food instead of direct money otherwise they would always use it carelessly.
normally i donāt argue with anyone but using āsomeone like themā irks me a little. are you trying to say that all homeless people use money given to them for their addiction? because thatās not true. now, are there homeless people that have an addiction and possibly use the money to enable their addiction? yes. but that doesnāt mean that all homeless people use money for such things. there are homeless people that buy necessities.
i am sorry for this rant but i was just irked and wanted to put some things into perspective
When I said someone like them I meant as in people who uses money on gambling and stuff instead of feeding their children. That's why I used the term "someone like them" instead of homeless people bcoz I too know that not every one is like that.
I think it was more like a poison than drugs. I have heard a lot from the news that there are parents who commits suicide due to poverty some of them even poisons the whole family or much worse butcher them to death.
Ohh then maybe it is that... Bcoz I have seen parents like him who uses their children to get some money and waste it on their addiction. And even my parents told me the same thing to always offer food instead of money.
