i'm glad we all got mixed feelings about this LMAO. age gap wasn't really an issue at first but it's the fact that in the 5th chapter the duke says he "liked him before he met him" again (as a child) that ends up making everything weird
had he waited more years to "find him" like his older self said, this wouldn't feel like i just read a story about grooming
if this takes the same turn as the novel, i fear good times are officially over. might even drop it if it's as bad as the spoilers said

so actually, things don't go down yet in between the two of them. after white hair ml gets told radan is the assassin, he confronts him abt it which radan admits to. ml goes to kill radan's family and takes over their castle, and at some point there he learns about radan's past and the abuse he was subjected to. radan however runs away (i unfortunately don't know the reason) and tries to commit suicide in a river. he's found/saved by a merchant but suffers from memory loss so he just decides to follow that guy and the other merchants he is with, agreeing to pretend to be the merchant's bride(?). eventually he gets found again by ml who's enraged (about either him running away or acting as someone else's bride), and radan gets chained, raped and beat by him
i think at this point of the story there's also something about the white hair ml being cursed or something like that, but this is as far and as much my memory wants to remember from the spoilers i read lol. there might be more detailed explanations if you scroll for a bit
