If I had to compare this plot to something it would be the equivalent to the time when I was stuck in traffic and for what an hour drive became a 14 hour long wait. You keep waiting for something to happen or for cars to move but don't. You get occasional updates and you get a little hopeful but eventually you realize damn, nothing's freaking happening.
