Yes, very short of two twisted characters that could be exciting to watch if it was expanded more. That ending gave me slight flashbacks to the end of game of thrones… everyone gathered around in a unserious way, like “whelp here we are” type of moment. Just a crazy and funny way to announce his brother’s death and it’s up to them if u wana attend. I’m done. I hope they make a cameo in the next Smokey nector story

People probably would be confused but with this authors work they never turn out as happy endings. The author create stories centered around “Nicholas” and his encounters with men, getting abused, assaulted etc. even love interests always end up trash in the end. The only thing I like is the artwork and how Nicolas is drawn… he gives strong main character if you block out the rape and stuff his character is cool looking and there are times when he fights back sometimes. I would check out the other stories here to get background if you’re interested. Of course these have all the rape and crap too but hopefully the author will create something where Nicholas has a wholesome story I guess.

Honestly the author could revisit this story and give it a 2nd volume or two and expand on the yakuza part. Obviously this was rushed to fit the volume, so I can see why ppl are unsatisfied with the romance. It felt like it came out of left field. I really want to see more stories involving the background of the side characters, like yasu. It’s frustrating bc this has a solid foundation for more story and could be better than some of these webtoonz on here.

I can tell the author enjoyed giving us kanta as the main. Just the art, panel shots and the slice of life feeling in this was on a different level from the first story. I thought it was good. There was no conflict which is fine. the time skip did come in abruptly and Ryo was so different that I wished we saw that progression of maturity.
