Before the asshole father gets forgiven by her , which sucks, but we all know it’s coming, just go back to chapter 5 page 3 or literally the first chapter. He fucking lays his hands on her. And that much, a slap, is enough to bring my blood to a fucking boil. And that’s not even bad, he literally gave the order to kill her, I don’t care if it “pained” him to see her getting executed. I don’t give a fuck if he gets a redemption arc, like the trope abusive fathers getting forgiven is so overrated, I hate it. Like they’re unforgivable assholes and in modern time, they need to go to jail. I am so sick of seeing abusive fathers being forgiven by their children in fiction. I just need a good manga/manhwa/manhua where the MC doesn’t put up with any shit in their second life and just builds a happy life in a cottage core setting. Because that’s possible in fiction, in life, well if you’re lucky you can escape abusive parents but it’s not the case all the time so yeah... fuck abusive parents.
Yeah, there will always be plot twists in fiction... I’m just mad cause he abused her, manipulated or not, he still gave her scars... :/// emisket
He did even give her chances to explain or investigate he aromatically thought she was in the wrong it crazy but that happens in real life when it comes to favoritism

Exactly, he’s just a horrible parent and personally I want to see parent figures learning their are consequences when treating you’re child horribly.
I heard that cosette was a demon or idk if that’s true then it might be the dad was manipulated or something along those lines Matsurika
If he was literally forced to be the way he was by Cosette I would find Keira's father redeemable but that still doesn't mean I'd expect Keira to either forgive OR not forgive him (the choice is ENTIRELY up to Keira or the author as the case may be). But there is even evidence from before that proves that this is ABSOLUTELY not true, similar to what we see in the case of Ruve from The Abandoned Empress.
