i feel it's just me, but i don't think it's a valid reason. the bullies were just looking for an excuse to finally pick on him, and didn't actually care that he was a weirdo. not only that, but they, or the mc (forgot his name already) could've confronted him upright instead of resorting to bullying....

Bullying is not valid in this case because yeah that was weird and lwk freaky and ion fck wit that but like he could’ve been like yo its okay he probably thought it was his or sum and since it stinked thats why he smelled it or some but to bully him and be a bystander while standing up for others thats like unfortunate idk and also the bullies been wanting any reason to bully him so they probably didnt even gaf

I think bullying is valid on this cause because why would he lie and stand up for a guy whom he thought was his friend but ended up being a creep who stole and smelt his clothes? He stands up for others because they're innocent in the bullying, but in this case the purple headed guy was a creep and needed to be dealt with because what the fuck

They did care, they were looking for reasons to bully him, and they didn't have anything because he was just kinda there, if they still picked on him then it wouldnt be valid but in this case the dude stole their friends clothes so they used that opportunity to pick on him, I think the scene we saw was them just being jerks but also a valid reaction to seeing a guy with your friends and your stolen clothes. You're telling me you would be calm and collected if you saw someone with your "missing" clothes and smell them?

after i've read your response, it's only encouraged me to believe that bullying truly wasn't a valid course of action in this case. you've said it yourself (and so have i), they were simply looking for an excuse to pick on him. he didn't actually do anything beforehand, yet they still wanted to pick on him but didn't because they had no reason to. now that they've seen him do something weird, that's when they made their move— but it's not like they did it out of goodwill or concern for the mc, their friend, did they? bullying is not a valid reaction whatsoever. you're only going to wind up promoting the negative actions of the person you're bullying
