So, if anyone else in here has already seen chapters 37-38, what do you think of this? The reason why Lucas suddenly appeared behind Athy on that moment was because he has an alarm. An alarm that is either a) if Athy's heartbeat reaches a set pace/fastness, he'd be informed because it may br because of Athy magic once again erupting. Remember, before Lucas appeared, Athy was flustered? What if it was enough to send an alarm to Lucas? Or b) if Ijekiel comes within 5 meters of Athy. But the 2nd one doesn't really make sense to me so I'm leaning more to option A.
AND, in chapter 39, mayhaps the reason why Athy was so accomodating with Jennette is because Jennette has charm magic affecting Athy. It didn't bode well to me how Athy was so out of it during their conversation.

*Puts on Tinfoil* No but for real that's a good theory was thinking the same thing. Something about Jennette just rubs me the wrong way she is born of black magic maybe her aura is cursing Athy everytime they meet. Remember Lucas taking off some black dust off her after her birthday party! She met Jeannette that night so hm...

I was just glancing at the raws, and my first theory was wrong. Lucas didn't come running when Athy's magic was disrupted again. Tho that might be because he and Athy sort of quarelled? Not sure, but still what a damn shame.
Oohhh boy, you'd be mad when you see chap 40-45.
*spoilers*
basically Jennette gave a magicked hair ornament to Athy and that caused Athy's magic to ya know. And it kidnapped her to wherever. See, I can't read Korean but Jennette actually saw the black haired dude with jewel eyes putting magic on the ornament so I'm really not okay with her atm. Like, how fucking careless. Trusting strangers with things like that.
I think someone's gonna die in the coming chapters~ *I hope it's Jennette, sorry not sorry*

Oh, honestly when Lucas touched athys forehead after her debut I thought it was to remove dark magic but who knows ┑( ̄Д ̄)┍. Also do you think Janette's does this on purpose if it's actually true, she seems so nice but everytime I remember how the story would have ended I always find myself hating her, athy was sooo mistreated

*Puts tinfoil cap back on* Jesus! That reminds me that all the bad guys won in the first storyline lol pretty lame. Jeannette gets with Whitey jr. (Is there even love there from him? or is he doing what daddy dearest told him to), Claude's brother wins with whatever black magic he is using, Whitey's greed wins, Jeannette's evil mother spirit wins. What happens with Claude in the first storyline, we haven't seen that yet! Probably his brother ends up killing him or they end up using him as a puppet too. In our MC's original world this story is called, The Lovely Princess. The Lovely Princess actually being original Athanasia rather than moldy Jeannette. I'm with you guys really trying to like Jean lol.

Now that I think about it, you're right. In the original world, the villains won. Wow. What if in the end of this new storyline with Athy, everyone mistreated (aka everyone who didn't benefit in the previous timeline minus Ijekiel, cos you know he's the "ML" and all) will now have their happy endings? Like with the other girls in the tea party. They'll now "get the guy", so to speak, instead of everything solely belonging to Jennette.

It might be because Jeannette is the fruit of some dark magic experiment. I think her body contain something even she doesnt know that is on the bad side with the princess's magic. I feel sorry to Jeannette though, its not her fault. The princess got mistreated in her last life due to her mother. She has extreme amount of power so thats why her mother's life force got drained out in pregnancy. The emperor loved her mother so much so he hates her for stealing someone precious. You can see the hint as the princess dream about her mother and a blurry figure which is her father. Remember in the dream, he shouted and asked the mother to choose him and not the child and not leave him all alone after he has found something precious ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭

Yes, but Jennette should be aware that there are politics around them. Shouldn't she be suspicious that someone just decided to "help" her buy the thing? He even put the magick in front of her. Irresponsible, seeing as "she wants Athy and Claude to be her family". Like, when I pick my presents I make sure they aren't going to harm my family first before giving it to them. That should doubly apply in a world with freaking magic in it and more so in the position they are in. Being naive about the black haired man's intentions does NOT give her a free pass imo.

TBH, I don't like Jennette at all. I trust Mr. Whitey more than I do her. At the very least we know the character of Mr. Whitey. Jennette looks like she's sweet but I doubt that's true. Her daydream with Athy and the King raised a flag imo. Same with how she addressed Athy at the end of the tea party. The words were innocent enough, but the underlying meaning could be that she's elevating herself above the other girls in that party. Suspicious, since by all accounts she's supposed to be a sweet girl. And sorry but I like Lucas more than I do Ijekiel. I don't think ijekiel is bad, just that Athy's monologue in the tea party sounds ominous. How the story revolved around Jennette and that everything was hers, or something like that. What if the "novel" forces Ijekiel and Jennette together in the end? What about Athy? Would she be alone in the end? And besides, Lucas has been protecting Athy for years. They're comfortable with one another. I think it'll be fine. Tho the age thing might be a problem.

Most people want her with Lucas, though. Because he's a typical ML. That's why I want her with Ijekiel. But that could end with her in tears like you said. So I don't want her to end up with anyone.
For similar reasons, I distrust Mr. White more than I distrust Jenette. ...But not only because it would be typical to distrust her over that guy.

A typical ML? Thats not the reason at all. Lucas is basically an older guy in a kid's body, same goes to Athy who got reincarnated. He treats Athy with care and looks after her all the time. Their relationship is comfortable and healthy, you can see them mutually teasing each other and even squabbling like an old couple. They're amusing to watch. Ijekiel is just a character in the "Lovely Princess" and he might end up with Jeanette like in the original story so I think Lucas is a safe choice. No need to worry though this story is more focused on father-daughter relationship than romance.

I agree. And the same could be said about the age gap between Athy & Ijekiel. Back when Athy was saying that she could not stand it that a boy younger than her beat her in academics, it felt, imo, that it correctly showed Athy's priorities. Mayhaps she doesn't quite see Ijekiel as a romantic interest, only as a friend. This is supported when they were at the flower field. It was romantic, yes, but there wasn't any spark from Athy's side. Further supported when Lucas c*ckblocked Ijekiel and suddenly transported her back, she wasn't flustered or anything about Ijekiel.
Tho I agree that Lucas IS a typical ML. But, that is one of the reasons why I think he is the best candidate for Athy. Because he is old, I think he'd understand Athy's feeling of being out of her time, tho that's not what happened with her. And there is also the fact that despite having no evident reasons to stay, he said that he'll still stay by her side. Typical shoujo ML of him, I'd say.

I distrust Mr. White too but I still can't help but distrust Jennette more. It's biased of me, but didn't Athy say that Jennette was conceived through Black Magic? I don't want to completely write her off as a villain because of it, but I think it'll factor in her behaviour. What's more, Athy expects trouble from Mr. White and will be prepared. But does she expect if from Jennette, goody, sweet, lovable, Jennette? No. So I think it'll be used as an avenue for plot in the future.
Just a thought, if you don't want Athy to end up with anyone, how would you like this to end?

Personally, I think people prefer Lucas because he had more of a personality, and the other guy is more of a generic nice guy who's perfectly perfect in every way. Yes, it's a typical shoujo trope - setting up the perfect fantasy guy with the rough reality guy, but there's a good reason for it. Also, Lucas has gotten much more "screen time" so the readers know him more, and he's got the whole "adult in a child's body" thing that Athy does, so it didn't feel like pedo vibes. He's also saved Athy several times now, and clearly cares.

Alright. Just wanted to share that I scarcely believe that the Revolutionary Army would risk its entire organization just for Kuma. I mean, sure, Kuma was a former friend and had sacrificed a lot for their ideals but really? That's the whole point of smuggling in their top officers, their second-in-command, into the one place so many high ranking marines are surrounding? I don't think so. Kuma is just a side quest, because an organization like theirs wouldn't make such a stupid mistake of going in just to save a human-turned-cyborg friend, who may or may not even remember them at this point. Sabo and the precepts (spelling?) of death (haha) seemed to be hiding directly under the palace of the Tenryuubito. Why? I think they are going to take them hostage, or maybe just find something within the grounds and then make the world leaders see what a fucking farce the Tenryuubito and the World Government are.
And Enel? As Im-sama? Possible but IMO highly unlikely. The WG may not have known anything about what happened in the Sky Isles but they wouldn't worship anyone just like that. Mayhaps it is joy boy. Mayhaps it is someone else entirely. At this point, not much can be said to make sure. And anyways, what would Enel know of the void century? Of anything, really? Last I remember, he was with some space moles digging on the moon.
BTW, am I the only one who saw the resemblance between the current head of the reverie and the man from the Hand Island OVA of OP? The father with life size figurines? That one. It would be interesting if they are relatives.
Last. Why where there posters of Luffy, Shirahoshi, Vivi and Blackbeard with Im-sama? And of all the posters, Vivi's weren't damaged much( if at all). Also, I get why Luffy and Blackbeard, but why Shirahoshi? why Vivi? Is Vivi somehow the key to the great planet-named weapons things just like Shirahoshi? or is there something else that Oda-sensei is fucking finally intending to reveal now?
In any case, I'm so excited for this arc since they first mentioned this way back in Alabasta (so loooonnngggg ago). I have high hopes for this one since the thing with big mom had been a bit of a bore, ya know? And right now? It's proving itself to be better.

I agree with you. I think the poster of the mermaid princes is related to the fact that is is an ancient weapon.
Aa for vivi, i recall that during the civil war i alabasta luffy, zoro and chopper found a dome under the sand with a poneglyph and also, hee ancestors refused to go to mariajoe in the past and become celestial dragons. I think its all related. Its just a theory but i am certain Oda-sensei will not disappoint

Not enel surely. Because he is at the moon, building his own kingdom.

So. It's been a couple of days since I saw that this particular manga had an update and silly me for being curious. /SPOILER/ (well, not really) Don't read the latest update IF you don't want the question that has conflicted you since reading the manga or watching the anime to be answered. THAT ONE QUESTION THAT HAD A WHOLE DAMN EPISODE DEDICATED TO IT BUT TURNS OUT AS FRUITLESS.
If you still don't know, well, go ahead and read chap 700.6. BUT. You have been warned.
P.S Don't hate me because I posted this. I just wanted everyone else who haven't gotten their whole childhood ruined to be warned. After all, I would've gone on with my life perfectly happy that I didn't know about the -beeeep-. Naruto is part of my childhood (but who doesn't?) and I would've liked to know if I was really ending it by reading a seemingly random update. Sorry if I offended anyone. Love lots, guys.
THIS. This manga is Shoujo as it should be. 'Nuff said.
