I’m not really liking that whole hebi blood situation with the sister. I’d prefer it if they both just shared the guardian in all honesty.
Do we even get told what that means? So far I have the impression that the hebi are witch like beings.
I agree that it’s cool that they’re both different, it’s just that I’m getting the vibes that the sister might get looked down on for having weaker imperial blood you know? And although I believe that she wouldn’t let people talk down on her at this point in time, I wish that the author would move on from the “they are illegitimate children so people look down on them” scenario and start a new arch so to speak.
I think the author is trying to do that with the ball for the offical debute because then everyone has to acknowledge them as offical members. I think no matter what, Arien is gonna have a bit of harder time cause she's a girl and illegitimate so thats a double wammy, sadly. But I think the reason its good that she is more hebi is because it'll make her a royal is extremely more unique than any other royal which will probably make her famous because she's a royal with powers no one has ever seen before. It would be kind of a waste if the whole point is that they are illegitimate children who's mother wasn't even human and they have no side-effects or advantages because of it. They'll probably have somethimg new to worry about after the ball so I bet this 'Ew illegitimate children' arc will be over but that whole stigma will probably be an underlining them throughout the whole story.
I just love it when the maids start to say nasty shit about people with a higher standing than them, you know? It’s like, if the duke found out about it he would be able/ allowed to punish them as he saw fit; at best they’d be fired, at worst beaten or killed.
In modern terms, that would be like the cleaners in a big company dissing the CEO you know? Like WHY? Do they want to be unemployed/ punished?

Like... does she ever turn back or what?
SURELY she does... right?
Yeah she does, don’t worry guys
