So my theory is in the end the Sargent was actually Sheepface from the beginning and he was playing out him getting revenge on his perpetrator but felt guilty because he couldn’t enact the crimes he wanted without feeling bad because as the quote goes “it’s different to want someone dead and to kill them yourself” and it drives him insane so he stays in a mental hospital but his persona as Sheepface trails him and starts harassing him. In short, Sargent/Sheepface is the one person in the story.
This probably wasn’t intended but for me it just makes it a little more mind bendery you know because him basically just being traumatised in the end is realistic but a little expected
