Kinda just want the egg to hatch already, it feels like it's been dragging forever. I feel like I remember it shook or cracked in earlier chapters and then nothing. Or did I just hallucinate it because I want this trial to be over?
I've always believed that this story was supposed to end at around 30-40. I think author/artist didn't expect the popularity and is probably trying their hand at world/plot expansion but it feels like the stakes aren't really there because of how intense that kouichi choosing-to-stay arc was resolved/magic solutions/etc.

I really really liked the character development for the guys at Kami's workplace. It makes me so happy to see him able to be open, and that one guy (who doth protest too much btw) help out Waki by letting him know.
Getting to see more of Kami's cooking and Waki enjoying it makes my day
May Kami and Waki be eating together for the rest of their days. (and then in the next life too. Forever. And ever and ever.....) Kami deserves so much love and happiness, and his mother is so welcoming & just happy to see her son happy.

It's been so many years, yet I still think about this manga at least once a week. I'll never get over the fact that we'll never have an ending. It's such a shame, there's probably so many other incredible manga, stories, and series of every medium that will never see the light of day again. I hope with all my heart the mangaka will be able to gain the rights back. If it ever happens, I'm going to buy the series at least 10 times just to stick it to the previous publisher. I will wait forever, and I've come to accept it.
