The measels uke really irritated me at some point. The doctor, was literally showing his true feelings from the get go and even said he loved him, why the uke was still hanging on to unrequited love. Forcing him to listen to all that crap about someone a crush he clearly has yet to overcome. Didn't even take the time to think about how much it was hurting the doctor. I get it, the uke might have been insecure blah blah... But why not just talk to him about it, instead of insulting him and making stupid unnecessary assumptions.
I totally get what you're saying and I understand why you're irritated, but you answered your own question when you said that the uke was insecure. That's the thing about insecurity and not trusting others, there was nothing the doctor could have said that would have convinced the uke he loved him. He could have recited 20 volumes of poetry and prose describing how much he loved the uke and true is feelings were and it still wouldn't have done the trick. The uke had to choose, himself, to trust the doctor. He had to decide that being with the doctor was more important than protecting himself. The uke is still insecure by the end of the story, but now he is willing to face his insecurity head on rather than assume the worst and run away. The only thing the doctor could have done is exactly what he did. Trust that he had created a place for himself in the uke's heart and give the uke time to recognize that being with him was more important than hiding behind a wall of distrust. Distrust can't be fixed with words, it requires deep reflection and action on the part of both people.
I really don't like reading Yaois(or any manga) where the child of either the seme or uke, ends up with their dead parent's lover. Like no, just no. That's why i was so thankful Shiranui didn't end up with Shinichi(even though, that might have been due to Shinichi probably being his son) but still thankful(▰˘◡˘▰)

So every time i read an update, I get sad because imagine if it progresses really well, just for one of them to die!! ╥﹏╥ I DON'T WANT THAT TO HAPPEN!! I really hope he was referring to past events leading to them meeting and eventually falling in love #－.－)
