I just came to confirm something and I think it did. I came to know about this series trough a youtube video under the tag lgbt non yaoi anime character, which mentioned Kiku. So u really expected some bl romance but it never happened but even after series and looking at author other I believe kiku loved senroku San.

Some ppl mention here sitong as poker face master but .... To me it doesn't seem like that , he do avoid zichen as much as he can . He feel that his love is sooooooo over the top hopeless that he doesn't notice zichen signals most time I think.
