so seme IS the snake spirit. and the remainder of the chapters (only 17 chapters in total) are ALL flashbacks. seme and uke met a few times by the river. for some reason the uke was gang graped by the old men in his village (some superstition i think since this was after someone died, not sure who). this happened multiple times. the first time seme noticed the bruises on uke's body but that turned into an argument. then the rest happened without the seme knowing bc uke didn't tell. then they finally met again and the rap!sts found uke and killed him (idk why, they were panicking at first when they cant find him that night). the seme saw it right away and killed the rap!sts yum. then it ended there. there's some dialogue but i cant read the raws sooo yeahh.
kinda foul that seme called uke a s!ut and a pervert, and even speculated that the sexapparation was hunting uke bc we of bad karma (for sleeping around) when he was the snake spirit in the first place and uke was not in fact sleeping around (no s!ut shaming tho) and was a r@pe victim. that kinda icked me a lil bit but THE ENDING I CANT THERE'S GOTTA BE MORE SHOW MORE OF THEM IN THE PRESENT DAY??? ALL THEY DID WAS HAVE S3X AAAAA

My understanding is that the ML is a legendary creature who turned into a man and fell for the MC. Meanwhile the MC came from a village where yes, he was gang r*ped by the men in the village so I seriously struggle to understand why the ML called him a slut. He didn’t know the MC was being r*ped but he definitely found out by the end.
The MC and ML fell for each other. The MC got killed by the villagers. The ML saw and killed them. I believe the ML could not leave the forest where the village used to be because something prevents him from going outside those perimeters for too long. So once the MC was reincarnated, the only way for him to bring him back around him was to tempt him through “sexapparition.”

if you're reading this and only this, you might get confused a lot by the events in the story. that's bc the manhua skips a lot of details in the novel. it's more like the artist and their team probably assumed that whoever is reading must have read the novel before so they just draw whatever they want. dont get me wrong, i really like this!! rereading this so o can refresh my memory a lil bit while i wait for the s2 of the anime, but it does skip a lot of (i say) important information from the novel. so i highly suggest ya'll (if ur a manhua only reader) check out the books if you can bc you are missing out A LOT
