Yeah, it's not uncommon for that to happen so I kinda expected it. I feel even more disappointed because IIRC they also said she didn't forgive her father and went off to explore the world or something on her own, to explore her freedom and I thought that was a really nice conclusion. She didn't need to forgive her father because he was genuinely very terrible and she doesn't need a guy to attach herself to instead of her father either. Novel ending just sounded so much better IMO

I had the theory that the OG body ends up looking exactly like the 2nd body but tbh I don't really have any expectation for that to actually explain anything...

Also MC is a little too good at his role in Hatano's story lol, those panels of him thinking about it then offering him the cake (even though I'm sure he figured he was doing something else) got me unable to blame Hatano for liking him so much
