Masto has a wife and a kid. It may have been a shotgun marriage but the fact that the kid exists is there. I wouldn't want him breaking away from his family irresponsibly if he wants to act on his feelings for Hotaka. I'm honestly anxious about his eventual choice. On the other hand, Chika can actually be an okay guy if he pays attention more on others and their feelings rather than going along with his whims.
but in another point masato could have regrets for his decisions..the kid really isnt a problem as long as both of the party gives attention equally to the kid. but the problem would be the attitude of the kid and how would she handle it
i kinda remember him saying he doesn't regret his current life. i'm just really nervous about who ends up with who, especially concerning masato since he's already tied.
