I really don't understand the concept of the "first time". Of course I want it to be nice, but why put SO much importance on it? (it goes for both men and women) I understand the religious and historical context, but why is that notion so important even nowadays. Sorry this doesn't relate to the story, but still...
i mean, it doesn't really matter but if you like someone so much and you're their first in anything i guesss that makes you feel special. also yk, it's kind of like an instinct being the first in something. whatever it is an exam, an award or someone's first kiss. i don't understand it much either but i think that's how it is,,, but like i said, not that it matters..

Right.. Maybe in this context it might matter. Like the first date, first date and so on. But yea, competition can be a part of it, but it in turn also feels kinda degrading. Maybe I'm just overthinking it, but it just jumbles my mind, since it isn't very logical. But whelp, feelings themselves are not logical...
For me personally I would be afraid to date someone who had sex with many people already. Will I just be another person added to the number? Will they break up with me after they get tired? Ya know what I mean? Also for some people having their first time with someone is very special because they kept the virginity until they found the one who they want to spend the rest of their lives with.

Well for me i still am a virgin, but i think that having been whith multiple people is bad thing, instead i think that they know themselves and what they like. They know their needs and can start to think about the other. For me I'd feel like if you don't know your own body, preferences and so on, it can be harder But then all my knowledge is from talking to others and the internet. About the numbers thing, I believe that it Depends on the person and your communication. There can be both healthy monogamous and open relationships. If you feel like the other person thinks of you as just a number drop their ass- that is a GIGANTIC red flag
Okay, so as probably the "old experienced" person in this group, your partner for the first time is very important . If the other person doesn't take care, it will hurt. A lot. Guys or girls, doesn't matter. A poor partner can also leave you feeling used, filthy, hurt, rejected, and traumatized. These effects can be lasting and carry over into your next relationship. In this story he was being smug because he knew along that she wasn't trying to use him for his money. He just finally told her why he knew

Yea, when looking from this perspective i agree. That fear is the exact reason why I'm still inexperienced. For me as fary tale as it sounds, i what it to be whith someone i trust. And i want it that way the second, third or 20th time. Sex in it self can be many things - pleasure, trust, safety and so on. For some it can be only one or few of these factors or all of them. And yea, i started this conversation not really thinking about the story, it's just when i felt like too much emphasis whas placed on virginity i felt like giving my thoughts, not really thinking about the story itself, just placing my own worries on top of it.
everyone here has made a good point, also back in historical days if a woman wasn't a virgin then it was really hard to find someone who would be willing to marry them.
virginity was super important back then because they didn't have paternity tests and if a woman had other male partners, then her husband would never know if the child was truly theirs or not and having blood ties was of great importance in terms of inheritance and such.
also many people have an innate sense of satisfaction knowing they are their lover's "first" because it makes them feel special, as someone above mentioned earlier.
We have to find that bastard brother. I will buy the needles. Where should we put the pearsings? Well for sure a Prince Albert... Where else? who will buy the rusted metall?
Don't even use needles, use thumbtacks :) its gonna be worse lol Atlas

Has she told him about her reencarnation? It won't raise flags later on? Why am i worried now, like a silance before a storm. Maby i missed something...
Can you please just stop grabing her hand? There are boundarys, personal space, cconcent. And I won't even start about the kiss. Just stop, if you were not a royal and did that to someone else you would be bichslapped the high heaven.
Rant over, thank you for reading my ted-talk(づ ̄ ³ ̄)づ
So right now i have a big crush on both of them... An amasing and smart woman, and a strong and supporting man. Like seriostly! And they are both eye candy!!! Espesially when blushing!!! (sorry for my grammar)
Those earpeaces. I peronally think that the dress is a bit too buisy, but still i love it the same, since i understand how harrd those feathers and see through fabric woud be to sow
