After reading everyone’s comments about the half assed ending, I’m deciding not to read this and disappoint myself lol

I wouldn’t say it was half assed.
It did answer the major questions, but it was a little rushed.
Back at the end of season 1, the author said she planned to fishing the story in 2 seasons and about 70 chapters, so it actually went longer than she originally planned.
To me it seems like she said all she wanted to say, but since it went longer than her original plan instead of continuing to flesh out the story even if it went longer, she decided to hit the major plot points in a condensed way.

Why do I hate both mcs the way the story started out with the r*pe and miscarriage is WILD. What the hell is even happening…00

You should give it a chance. It’s really good, it’s a refreshing unique story that is actually broad than what it shows.
Spoilers below!
Both MC’s from s1 will get their version of a second opportunity, but instead meet the same partner but without the memories nor involvement in world 1.
In season 2, it was Aeroc’s return. Told in the pov of the AU Clough. In this arc, Aeroc respects his promise and tries to stay away from Clough, all their meetings were purely business. But in this arc, Au Clough will eventually acknowledge his feelings and pursue Aeroc. But of course Aeroc runs away, because he didn’t believe that Clough would actually be interested in him. This is the love story route that is bittersweet. Also Aeroc gets to slowly hell from the trauma of his first life.
In season 3(?), it was Clough’s return. Told in the pov of Au Aeroc. This Aeroc didn’t fall in love with Clough, he got scared of him. Because Clough who saw him and actually thought they were in hell. Got angry and screamed at him “Why did you leave me alone in a living hell!?” This is the regret arc, because Clough will pursue Aeroc again, because he had acknowledged after OG Aeroc’s death that the one he truly wanted is Aeroc. It’s a regret arc because Clough didn’t try to know Aeroc before, and now that his with him, he sees that Aeroc was just this awkward, uptight, cute and witty person. He’s actually kind.
Og is original. Au is alternate universe.
Wow I wrote a long ass review for this but overall just love this authors work and how they continue to make these bittersweet stories with thoughtful endings
Bittersweet is such a good way to describe it. The complexity of how Ed was feeling after what happened to him with the porn leak and his feelings for Creed were really contradicting each other. Although, I’m glad in the end, they made up and were happy together.
