have this theory after reading the lost girls ova (mikasas story). so originally, before eren found out he could shift into a titan, he would have died saving armin when the colossal titan attacked the second time. the only reason he survived was because of his titan powers. and then, in the alternate reality (lost girls ova) that mikasa saw when she was abt to get stomped on, eren also died sacrificing himself for armin on the hot air balloon. so i think eren might die in the end trying to save armin again, even though technically theyre 'enemies' rn.
