yall are missing the point of adding carmen to the story. yu has spent his whole life without developing any real relationships with ANYONE. he has spent his whole life alone without forming human connection. carmen is probably the first person to reach out and successfully form a connection w yu, and whether it be platonic or romantic, ot doesn't matter. humans are not meant to spend life alone. whether yall like it or not, carmen will be essential to yu's character arc. and for anyone who thinks she will make him weaker, its actually the exact opposite: she will make him stronger. people are stronger if they have someone to fight for and have people who they love and who love them in their corner, rather than just having K who is only using yu for selfish reasons.

one thing i love abt kim's stories are that even tho they characters are TRAUMATIZED and lived thru bad shit thet have a happy ending
