I'll try to convince you if it matches ur taste without giving out too much spoilers. The novel itself is meh. It has a concept that's not usually seen in historical manhwas but that's about it. If you are pissed about how he treated her in the past and expecting her to reject all the way, sorry to say but ofc she will obviously fold. It's obviously clear from the day they meet she still has lingering feelings for him despite the trauma he has given. She does agree after MANY attempts as he even agrees to give up his position to live by her family. I suggest reading the novel, its a good way to pass time. The one thing I love about this novel is how the family is so compacted together, if you want a family sort of fluff I HIGHLY suggest this. Take it from me, a person with no compassion towards all ML's cuz manhwas ruined the conception of a typical decent man with their red flags, he's okay. In normal standards, if you just don't automatically dislike him bcuz he did to her the slightest bit of wrong, he's actually making an effort, changing himself, apologizing yada yada. Pushy, yes. But let's be real, if he wasn't pushy both manhwa and novel would have ended by chapter 20. If you dislike that then don't read it. Because for the next 100 chapters it's going to be that.

Ok so, in their og world there is some political conflict. Long story short, he thought she was a spy. Because she was just an newbie and an orphan. It didn't make sense to him why her because she was inferior to him in every form, he didn't understand why they got a 99-matching rate in their esper-guide machine. So he thought someone tweaked it. He also had trouble expressing himself, y'know the whole shebang, he has trauma of his own so when she died he got miserable and followed the villainess girl to another universe hoping to find fl in this world so he could bring her back to their og world (not sure if this made sense, just ask clarifications and ill try my best to answer them in detail lol)

Late reply but here you go: https://bellereservoir.com/novel/refusing-your-ex-husbands-obsession-a-guide/
Before I start to read this. Ik this is a family type shit does the dad treat the kids equally?
Yes, as they are always on the same page about protecting mabel honestly, sometimes they even argue about who's gonna be by Mabel's side from time to time ٩(๑❛ᴗ❛๑)۶
That's good but I'm asking if he treats them equally. Not how they treat their sister/daughter.
I guess u could say that they get along well as a form of bond ╮( ̄▽ ̄)╭
Honestly, no. He definitely favors Mabel more. We don't really see him do much with/for Oscar. He's always giving extravagant gifts to Mabel but we don't see/hear him do the same for Oscar.
Not to mention he knew how fucked up he was being treated by his (Oscar’s) mother and never interfered. Honestly, that’s why I can’t like Mabel’s guard (his uncle)
He’s not as indifferent as most are, as they have their moments and he asks about his son’s opinions etc., but that’s as far as it goes. He’s def not the best father to him. I know some webtoons where father is equal to his kids tho if u would like to know!
YES PLS I JUST KNEW FROM THE RESPONSE THAT IT WASNT THE TYPE OF EQUAL SIBLING TREATMENT I WANTED
The ones I know are:
I'm the Heiress of a Villainous Household
Adopted by a Murderous Duke Family (literally best father, no neglect, loves his son, no shady behavior at all)
It’s My First Time Being Loved
