He’s not. He genuinely cares for FL, nothing romantic at all. Obviously, he’s hostile towards humans, (and he may have k*lled one or two of them) but when it comes to FL and ML he doesn’t harm them. He does think bad about ML at first, but nothing too bad happens:)

I’m sorry, but wtf… girl, why would you befriend the person who r*ped your now husband and even miscarried his child??? Like what…. Overall, I’m happy it’s a good ending but a bit weirded out as to why these certain, horrible characters had to have some sort of redemption.. It’s kind of an ick wheneve I see Shoujo artists always have a redemption arc for the most horrible character:/ but that’s just my opinion it could be different for everyone

He literally spat at her face, and blatantly showed her he has no interest in her whatsoever and that her apology is now bullshit to him bc he doesn’t care for her anymore. He even said to never show her face unannounced ever again or he’ll file a complaint towards the palace lmaoo SLAY KING. And this was after Kael basically exposed the temple right to her face during a cabinet meeting, and this was when her reputation started to go for worse bc the ship sank. She only apologized when her life was starting to severely go downhill smh.
Kinda feel like Helios did the same too, he only apologised after his relationship with that crazy white lotus turned south and he started seeing what real love was through Hess's eyes. Only thing different is that he's not as dumb and as presumptuous as her and knows when to stop before it gets worst.

He didn't stop though? Helios made a move during the time that Kael went to negotiate with another country. He just stop when he had to talked with his father again and before Hes and Kael went to north.

Helios only fell for Hestia bc she’s a competent partner, someone who is capable of being independent and great at strategic business, can handle state affairs and paperwork, great at negotiating, knows how to read people, overall smart and cunning, and fit to be an empress tbh UNLIKE SOMEONE AHEM AHEM. I don’t even think Diana even knows how to handle paperwork, like literally all she has is her saintess powers and title but overall, she’s nothing compared to Hestia. That’s why Helios fell for Hestia, cuz she’s what the empire needs not Ms. Saintess who only cares about her own beliefs rather than anyone else’s, and she’s even forcing others to to the same, which is a no no. She’s abusing her title for that.
It’s okay girlie, let the man be. If the roles were reversed, he wouldn’t even have cared and let anyone out.
