Oooh I'm hoping this is true and it will also brought along to the manhwa. Because I think that would make perfect sense. I saw comment below that said it seems like Genas didn't actually love Enoch's mom, and I felt the same thing. He was groomed and then gaslighted by her, and it seems he himself aware of the manipulation but couldn't help himself--and led him to enter another toxic relationship with his empress. It seems like he was uncomfortable when thinking back about Enoch's mom, but he's somehow doted--to the point of doing everything he could--for Enoch. Not saying that he loves Enoch romantically, but he did more for Enoch out of his fondness than he did for Enoch's mom--which laced with guilt and terror.
Overall just hope that man finally got someone who will love and care for him in more healthy manner
