the reason for the glasses dude as well and why she tried to give him a chance was because somewhere in her she wanted to give him the benefit of the doubt and give someone, in fact it probably didnt even need to be him, that she was needed. but ofc after she saw him on the phone she was just disappointed once again and had a mental breakdown, reminded of her past, reminded that 'no one' truly wanted her as a person
the grandfather did pay for her tutors, and it was mentioned earlier in the story. and the fact that the family treats her like that should be even more reason for her to be cautious and careful, because the grandfathers family are so cruel and mean. but agree to disagree, if.
