is the emperor stupid? it is up to him to speak and communicate with his children, is he not the leader of a nation and the father of three kids already, before the twins? how can he be so dumb. the twins’ train of thought, thinking that they’re not wanted at the palace makes sense when he’s trying to return them to where they were abused.
even though they were eighteen years old (most reincarnation/isekai stories add past lives despite it contributing nothing to the story, it’s whatever) as far as the emperor knows, they’re a pair of five year olds, so it’s his responsibility, as their FATHER, to make sure there’s no miscommunication with his own flesh and blood. what an idiot.

While I agree with the sentiment in general, I've observed plenty of parents who do some variation of this, so this is something that happens a lot (reincarnation, murder plots, and magic aside). I'm not defending his actions, but want to acknowledge that deciding the amount of information to inform a child is difficult and every child has different thought processes and abilities to understand (not to mention ones that have lived an entire life with very different experiences shaping them and their lenses of the world... not that the emperor knows). However, children (yes, even the non-reincarnated, regular ones like what we all used to be) are smarter and more intuitive than adults give them credit for and even after years of this being told to them, parents are still hesitant about explaining things to kids. And we also have to take into account that the 3 older children were very different, growing up under much better circumstances and much less complications, so the emperor would not have known how to deal with the twins who were wholly different from his first 3. Taking into account how the twins don't exactly voice their thoughts, he can only assume. Also, being a good emperor (ie: good at his job) does not always mean being a good or perceptive parent. He definitely is in the wrong for not asking enough questions and making too many assumptions without further investigating, but hopefully after the 2nd prince patches things up he wises up as a father.
i feel bad for the female lead. i would literally fist fight the student teacher and that old hag if they tried to embarrass me like that, i wish she would stand up for herself more. but it’s not her fault that people are so fucking terrible to her for no reason.
But you also have to remember the difference in culture. Parents in Korea take their kid’s education so seriously that if their teacher has some personal thing going on that may affect their kids studies they’d go nuts. No wonder why they have the highest suicide rates.
but the personal thing doesn’t have an affect on the kids studies, that’s just ridiculous. once the pregnancy takes hold over the person, things like mood swings and whatnot, they take pregnancy leave from their job. this type of shaming would never fly in where i live, a state in america. parents are not so ignorant to think they can scold a teacher they know nothing of, usually at least. i get the cultural differences though, i just hate how it affects women so negatively.
Exactly. I’m not defending them whatsoever. It’s so fucking stupid that they think a pregnancy can affect their kid’s education.
