It's frustrating from Andrew's point of view and it's perfectly understandable from Luke's. This is their personalities clashing.
Luke is an optimistic soft hearted fool. He and Andrew wouldn't be here if he hadn't forgiven the guy that beat the shit out of him and indirectly contributed to his breakup. The bittersweet confession that Luke is all he needs has the power to escalate or diffuse this situation and I'm very excited to see where the author takes this

I was hating a little because I want to get back to the main couple but I can't stay mad. Side couple chemistry is too real
