it just looks like a change in art style?? like if you compare jaehyuk to chapter 4 to 89 like you said, he looks completely different, this isn’t them just making him “age backwards” as you said, it seems like this is just a different style all together, seeing how the faces and necks are slimmer and they’ve made their heads a bit more elongated, maybe it’s bc i’m a literal art student but it’s really obvious that the style changed

oh and to add AGAIN, the reason it looks cutesy is because the artist made the line art thicker giving it a more cartoonish feel, it isn’t unheard of in the art world, the reason the early chapters feel more i guess real to you is because the line art is thin and gives it a more realistic depth rather than the cartoony thicker lines that give it a more childlike appearance and more of a fun feel
