the author on instagram said he had put a scene in that wasn't from the original novel. He posted a spoiler (like always) and added a caption saying 'This upcoming chapter leads into a scene that wasn’t originally in the novel but something I wanted to add, taking full use of the fact that I’m creating in a new medium. I plan on adding more of these sorts of scenes that ultimately help build on the existing world. Hope you enjoy!'

I noticed some minor changes here and there, but that is a whole new event they added. The first fight he had in novel was on the first day of academy, but in similar setting of noble picking a fight with a dwarf.

Btw, I don't remember communication scrolls working that way... (〜￣△￣)〜 in the novel it was possible only to write messages between the scrolls and they were one-time-use if I remember correctly.

Ryou ended up making it to class 3 to try and save Fujisawa and likely saw the chainsaw-starving dude trying to kill her/half succeeding and killed him, that's why Yuuya says some stuff about that and we see the panels of him sitting in an interrogation room. According to Yuuya there's not enough evidence to convict him though.

same. I want taku and haesoo to end up together but welp I guess the creator is going for jw x hs since majority of readers want them

From what I can see, that was the plan from get go. Everything pointed to them being in love with eachother but in a messed up relationship where they can't/won't confess to eachother.
