Tbh, this is why female characters need to start just accepting rejections when they get them. In real life, it’s harassment to continue to bother someone that much about your feelings. I’m tired of authors doing this to girls bc I feel like they always make us look like we can’t respect boundaries
Honestly, him accepting her proposal would have been so cute. What the author did was completely unnecessary. It was in his character from the beginning to go above and beyond for his love interests while she was the colder one. After royally messing up it could have been an excellent reversal of where they started in the beginning. Buuuut no, they switched it up at the last minute. They made him look really immature and lame. Guess he didn't really learn anything.
