I think it might because it was translated wrong. I think she meant, she took out 20.000 of the 100.000, because just after she mentions going looking for the rest of the money after the 1 year is up. She also mentions she will give the ml a portion of the money, when she finds it. But I might be wrong, since it’s a bit confusing ╮(￣▽￣)╭
The translation is a bit weird but basically her mom split the 100000 gold into five different banks. So 20000 of it is in the town near Elden that's marked on the map and she plans to go get it once her time in Elden is up. The same goes for the rest of it but she doesn't really need the money yet so she's not in a hurry to go get it either.
