i liked the premise of everything kinda like masumi's journey but ritsu like omg masumi is better than me because if i found out the purge was happening and saw my ex who FILMED ME and CHEATED on me id be livid like ooooh just like alyssa edwards said trust the dutchess and i wouldve dealt with him. great art tho it slayedddd
but the incest parts threw me off so hard like i get that it was really normal back then but like. and i really couldnt get into adam's character at allll, like to me if you love someone so much how could you be making out with other people too. i think the series shines in the 3rd and 4th volumes tbh that is when the plot TO ME stopped being annoying and all
Reminds me of a historical movie I watched in my 9th-grade English class (with parents' permission) where a queen had so many lovers and when she got pregnant, she would go on 'vacation,' for 6 months (whatever she starts to show) then send the babies to an orphanage or to be raised by someone else, and repeat. Anyway, years later, she im her 60s or whatever, she's old and now has a young lover who later turned out to be her son (he found out he's insane, traumatized, and she doesn't know but is waiting for him).
Also, if I remember correctly she got pregnant by her son. Only if she kept track of them instead of leaving them around. Oh, I found it, it's called Anonymous" (2011), a movie about what if William Shakespeare's work wasn't really written by him. Back then, I remembered people, the naysayers, taking this story seriously; it was funny as a 9th grader to see adults battle about this movie as proof or not. When it is a mixture of fantasy.

god if u can hear us
