idgaf if this is actually a misunderstanding but i just want naho to find another friend he can rely on. I've been on his shoes once and it really sucks that you have a new friend besides your only dear friend but life requires you to be independent to some extent. I hope Naho can develop a friendship w his peers w/o Kana's help and grow to become a little bit more confident
As for the romance aspect, I'm kinda digging for Naho gradually getting busy w his school friends and spending less time w Kana. If Kana can be busy w his friends, why can't Naho? Eventually, they meet up again and Kana notices the change within Naho

Every chapter, I wait for this fragile-like-porcelain mc to reveal some sort of jaw-dropping, wow-worthy, super duper amazing power that was the driving force of why his empire, kingdom, or whatever is striving yet every chapter I'm starting to think maybe it's bc of this piece of coding called grand duke and the unrelenting love of his subjects that smashed through the ranks and maintained its crown as supposedly the no. 1 empire or sumn.
Am I wrong to assume mc is a hidden munchkin and he's actually just some sort of compassionate king w hypersensitive wings and affectionate love?

Dude, you've already answered your own questions. What you're hoping for isn't gonna happen cus this is not like one of those solo levelling type of tower climbing manwhas. Please pay attention whenever they mention rankings, It's NOT about player rankings, it's KINGDOM rankings.
His power was already explained in the story. He has OP support/healing skills which (godly)boosts the already high stats of his vassals and duke(emphasis on OP cus a king's skill is unique to them), the stats they achieved via a corruption/race changing potion that MC had them take. There, that's why they're OP.
This is a unique thing that happened ONLY to MC in this game they played, that's why his kingdom is an emigma to other players, they don't fucking know why this kingdom is so OP compared to others. Like EVERY tower/gaming manwhas, this is MC's cheat, a special potion only HE discovered. Hence why MC's kingdom got legendary status among the players.

I forgot to mention that while MC before isekai was OP, when the players got isekai'd, their character levels reverted to level 1. So MC's strength is not as great as as when he was still playing the game irl. Currently, his level is still in the single digits and it isn't till very later on that MC gets a chance to farm experience by having his vassals carry him in the tower to gain exp fast.

Yah though i would say, even if MC is back to his OG level, he would still be weak physically compared to others. Since it was revealed in the novel that MC's main stat is mana/MP(which basically are the points needed for consumption when using magic) while the rest of his stats were piss poor(like hp, attack and def)

that one childhood friend/teacher defo has a crush on fushimi
also analysation for ch. 8:
Seems like Riho grew up w a heartbroken yet bad mom and she got influenced from her mindset. From what I could see, the father wasn't that bad as what the mother depicted. Maybe he truly didn't care his wife or maybe not but one thing is for sure: he cares about Riho.
There are multiple scenes that proved his love:
•He got Riho a bday present:
•He didn't want Riho, a child, to witness her parents arguing and tried to soothe her by telling it's okay
•He got angry when the mother tried to manipulate Riho by painting the dad as the big bad guy
The mom's constant brainwashing on Riho from childhood had made her get used to the harsh treatment as a way of showing care (i.e. getting mad when the person you care got into trouble). Care and love can still be shown through gentle handling like how Fushimi displayed when Riho accidentally littered the trash. The mom seems like she's always guilt tripping Riho as well when she suddenly bursted into tears, sobbing about the dad when Riho was just trying to talk about her school's janitor, Fushimi. As a mother, it isn't healthy to be constantly relying on your child to relieved your painful past.
tldr: the mom is a mess and riho is brainwashed
the execution for this sort of closure for the friends is kinda lame but ok
How is it lame? Wanted him to kill himself or something?
im sorry but this made me laugh so hard
lmao this made me laugh.
Well, I can't quite pinpoint it precisely, but whenever the deceased friends are brought up, it feels superficial. It's as though their existence solely served as a catalyst for Yiseon's tragic backstory, leaving them feeling underdeveloped. Despite having individual personalities and fragments of information about them, they lacked depth as characters. Maybe my expectations were too high—I struggled even creating six complex characters just to kill them off at the start. However, I firmly believe that for an audience to deeply empathize and garner strong attachment, a character must feel genuine. This absence of depth is why I couldn't emotionally connect with the friends; thus their portrayal felt lackluster and unengaging.
yep yep yep!! plus just for him to finally move on because he was saved from an attempt and had a dream afterwards?? it’s just not that easy.
the lack of depth is bc of the lack of screentime they were already dead when the manhwa started so ppl probably know better than to get attached to them yk? and you can only put so many flashbacks until they start complaining abt it. i think its fine for them to be superficial since their only role is to give mc ptsd and ml a reason to be worried abt him anyway lol
I guess we have different views to the story and each of us are strongly opinionated. No point in discussing about it. Have a nice day
Yes, that's what bums me out. Although we have yet to see the upcoming chapters, but I hope there will be a well-executed approach to closing this particular haunting chapter of Yiseon's life.
i mean not really? something is only worth discussing if you have different opinions otherwise its just an echo chamber but have a great day too
