Imagine Niannian's already suffering of PSTD but the jerk keeps beating him up, even locked him in the basement imagine how traumatic it is for him. My heart hurts so bad, I was reading the novel at 4am had to bury my face on the pillow so that my sobs wont escape from my mouth, the novel drained me so much, I got so depressed that I don't know if I should continue reading it or not, I'm such and emotional person, cant stand this kind of plot but I didn't drop the novel I continued reading it even if I'm so hurt for Niannian. I just want to witness Gu Yansheng suffering and LouAnn, and it's just so satisfying to read. They took the happiness that he only have, they trampled him and wounded him all over, they ruined him. Shen LouAnn took the relationship that they supposed to have in the very beginning, Gu Yansheng is his weapon against Niannian. He's so envious of Niannian that it made him became an evil, his jealousy went overboard.
I was so happy that finally Niannian took the courage to leave him, to leave that horrible house, he suffered too much that when I remembered about it my tears would just fall from my eyes without even me realising it, just like now while I'm writing this. The author did a great job writing the novel, yeah I know some of you hate the characters or the manhua or the novel, but what can we do? This is what the author wants them to be, it's her/his work we're just a reader, it's up to you if you'll continue or not. I've seen a lot in the comments who keeps persuading someone to stop reading this manhua, ey let them explore this themselves it's up to them if they'll continue or not, remember the choice is always yours, but I have to remind you, be ready becasue you'll gon' invest lots of emotion on this one.
Reading the novel will make you realise a lot of things, tho Niannian was wounded and ruined because of his love for Yansheng in the end it's Yansheng's love who'll heal him. Yansheng is his medicine, his happiness the person who can heal him completely. No matter how you hate him there's nothing you can do anything about it, I'm so distressed but it's also me who can console myself. It's such a great journey, I poured a lot of emotion in this story which is also worth it. If you'll ask me my fouvarite character was Tang shou, imagine he's so patient, he's a part of Niannian's healing, he's there all the time, and i feel bad for him in the end.
And there's no secret lies that will never revealed, it will take a lot of time but it'll not gonna be hidden forever, there's regrets, forgiveness and a second chance. The couple did had a happy ending, isn't it want we want? and there's this saying that there's a rainbow after the rain. They'll gonna start they life again, this time with pure love and happiness. The past can't be forgotten and will remain but it's the passed already, they'll gonna focus on their future. The novel was written amazingly, I didn't regretted reading it, I was so mad and crying like a fool but when I remembered it right now I would just laugh, I made it! Now, I would just think that they are just characters that the author had written.The side couples are cute too! It's all worth it! If you made it this far, thank you for reading!
