Idk why ppl moaning about the second cp...they're very much needed for the plot to move. I thought it's going to be a separate story of them but it's not. I'm glad I'm not the only one who find's the bottom's character annoying. The story could've been really good but the author really had to turn it into whatever this thing is. He went to war while being blind. Ofc the only logical thing for him to continue the war-(bec there's a lunatic tryna claim the emperor throne cause he thinks he's the true royal by the heaven decree) is to unblind himself by taking another pair of eyes of the living. And the eyes that he took weren't just from "slave". They were a death row prisoner. I'm guessing that in exchange for their eyes they were exempt from the death row. Not that he grab some random slave and forced them to give up their eyes for him. And he gave his eyes to liqing while liqing was still being manipulated by pei xingxue. And at that time both liqing and xingxue were married to eo and was witnessed by qinyu himself. Not that I'm excusing the ML past actions but...well they live in a dinasty where one's life is easily replaceable. The redemption ark for qinyu I'd say hmmmm they're okay. More than okay ig bec qiling stabbed qinyu in the battlefield with a dagger thru his chest. Which drove him into despair. But it didn't kill qinyu for some reason lol.
