I read the novel quite some time ago and I may miss some details but the gist is that the trauma MC is having in his dreams is somewhat related to that sh*t b*st*** of a brother… MC & ML’s relationship was shaky after the whole usb incident (where MC gave the file to his adoptive father) and ML felt betrayed and was angry at MC because he was starting to catch feelings at that point… if I remember correctly ML was also trying to get rid of his brother from the family business, and told him to get his ‘gift’ at his house (documents of evidence of embezzlement and corruption if I recall correctly) but dumb-dumb who had no clue of that plot went to his house and saw MC - and motherf***er thought MC WAS THE GIFT like wtf but ML was too vague about it too so he was partially at fault… anyway the brother r*pes MC, and MC flees to his old apartment where ML finds him and after knowing what happened (he clearly acted out of anger and jealousy obv such a douche move) r*pes MC as well… poor MC was too brokoen at this point but the last straw was…. when he found out he was pregnant… I think MC was too overwhelmed with the trauma and the way ML has just ignored him after that incident then when he found out and thought that what if it’s ML’s borther’s child- so he went to the stidy and got the g*n… but it was ML’s child unfortunately, so yeah pretty heavy stuff I had a box if tissues beside me while reading this nivel it hurts too much （/TДT)/

So I think continuing from that scene on the bathroom, the ML made sure to get the brother as far away as possible from MC - that he was not even invited to the engagement party, so I think after this incident where the brother attempts to get his hands on MC, the brother ‘disappears’… like it would be on the news that he went hiking and disappeared, but the truth is ML and I think sister was on it too- lured him out to a remote area and kept him somewhere and t*rtured him like I believe being tied up and r*ped like what he did to MC in the past timeline until he gave out and d*ed ╮(￣▽￣)╭ good riddance fr but it was not detailed enough for me to savor his demise lol (づ￣ ³￣)づ
