My point is that, whether he's a "regular" teenage boy or not is irrelevant. He's not supposed to be normal, we don't know if he has a curse but he's definitely been raised differently with the legend. Plus, there are normal Christian or Mormon boys who think like that. Even Muslim men.
I feel this manga would work much better as a weekly. I can never remember what is happening in the story, when a new notification finally pops up.
