They don't particularly look sad, maybe worried(?) like he tian is thinking what tf did I just do and did I maybe take it too far? and Mo is also thinking wtf happened and maybe is realizing his feelings for hi tian? idk this is just my thoughts after seeing this chapter.

Yes everyone is saying that it might be because He tian told Mo about leaving the city but I cannot see it happening unless he tian goes like " ok Mo you have peed now btw I'm leaving the city so I guess miss me?".
