i... kinda understand where she is coming. yes, her being neglected doesn't have anything to do with being gay. but the feeling of alienation is. she was neglected while everyone else seem to have a happy family. they are being a gay couple in a rural area in south korea. knowing that your circumstances are different than the rest can be isolating. and that's why she made the decision to search for a gf for mr. kwon. so he doesn't have to feel this alienation that she felt in seoul.
as for why she doesn't support the relationship, she might feel like it's unfair. how her alienation makes her feel lonely, sad and depressed while mr. kwon and ho are also different but they are happy and has each other. i just think she's feeling that sense of loneliness again and she perhaps think it's unfair that this hapens to her. perhaps put the pitchfork down and think for sec why she said this and why both our mc takes it pretty well?

maybe bcs it's just me who can't remember a lot of the plot of this story but these two just doesn't have any fucking personality in the side story. i promise in not saying this for hating but after reading the side story it felt so disconnected to the main story and without the angst and all of that i just can't see anything about this two rather than the rich top and poor bottom.
ik im not insane for thinking abt this bcs i recently read roses and champagne side story and their personality still shines through. it feels like im reading a fan fic rather than official side story.

i agree the ending played a huge part of it. like there's so many unresolved issues and conflicts between them that they shouldn't have put in the side story (also, i don't think they addressed it too? not that i remember since it so forgettable). idk if it's the author or the studio's decision but they need to learn that side story is NOT a continuation and whatever unfinished story line should not be continued in side story im so sick of it
