I'm with Etienne on this. Rebelling is serious. Overthrowing the empress is serious. What they want to achieve is dangerous and should be done with conviction. If you don't think seriously about all the factors and factions at play here, then don't bother meeting me bc we achieve nothing but putting ourselves in danger.

Wow i loved this chapter so much. I can't believe MC (i don't remember their names anymore sorry it's been a while) decided to be honest at that moment. Is it because they feel more connected now that they're swimming together?
Him wanting to quit not because he was forced to but just because he doesn't have passion to keep going anymore is so so human. Sometimes you just wish you had a more "real" reason not to do something because admitting you're afraid or not motivated enough seems like such lame reasons that they're embarrassing to say. It's even worse when someone looks up to you like ML did to MC bc it gets you thinking, "If only you know how I really am" or when they surpass you, you go, "They used to idolize me but now I'm way beneath them, what am I even doing".
But I'm glad that MC is at the point in his life where he's made peace with it. This isn't to say that he's happy with what happened and where he is now, but it's something he can at least talk about with the last person he wanted to expose it to.
Anyway if the general story is like this chapter, then I'm all here for it!!!

Wait what was that ending!! I'm ok with them not ending up together but i feel like i want some closure on their personal problems like wdym just a few chapters ago Xiao was still thinking that his ex's words are true and that Mo MIGHT work at Xiao's mom's resto but not really sure. I feel like I need more closure than this. I can accept them not being end game as long as it's a done and sealed deal AFTER Xiao has his development
The bottom is only 25,, please don't act like you're an old man yet or else I would feel old too.. we're still youngsters!
