I've always thought that Jung was a high functioning sociopath. Lacking in empathy and enjoys manipulating those around him. Then again, who hasn't manipulated situations to benefit themselves before? It can be fun. However, you're right. Being so intelligent, good looking, and lacking empathy is a terrifying combination. He's a GREAT character, really gives the series lots of depth!
