Okay, putting my chatting aside this story is fucking amazing, its a isekai story with so much emotions and feelings, the characters really feel like they are a part of your soul, and the story just keeps you focused in, so you cant stop. I REALLY recommend this as a must read, but let it marinate a bit longer

Like I get it, she wants love and attention bc she lived a shitty live before, BUT HOW CAN YOU ACTIVELY SUPPORT YOUR FATHER KILLING AND DESTROYING OTHER PEOPLE LIFES??? The FL entire family died, she had no one to turn to and your only concern is how unfair it is that she's getting more attention after all the shit she had to go through just to be recognized.. shame on you princess and shame on the entire royal family. Ths is really a tyrant worth trying to rebel against
Im on chapter 15 rn, and i have to say empress dowager has NO FAULT IN THIS. She was only 19 when the late king decided to make her child the crown prince or whatever. So she was only 14-16 when gave birth to him, at this age ofc she wouldn't feel any "motherly love" BECAUSE SHE WAS ONLY A CHILD HERSELF having this in the plot makes total sense but it always breaks my heart bc that girl went through so much... they never get acknowledged for the pain they went through and they have to be the one to apologize when those women are the ones with scars themselves im hoping for some more attention to her bc my heart cries out for her
I like the way the story handles it tho like. They acknowledge both of them are victims and that hurt people hurt people. She did go through a lot but it wasn’t the son’s fault so she was wrong in projecting the pain of what she went through on him. Because she actually did have motherly love for him but CHOSE to withhold it. Same thing for him, his mom went through so much and he understands that but he also has a lot of hurt from her that is valid as well but with that pain he also hurt his mom and kept her there like his father did. He did deserve an apology and so did she. Both of them are valid and victims of the previous emperor and now they are finally healing and coming together again. I think thats beautiful and real
